This is a permanent, full-time staff role with a 37.5-hour week. Due to the requirement for regular travel to other operational sites, hybrid working is not available.
A leading provider of integrated logistics and materials management services to the energy industry is currently seeking an experienced HSSEQ Advisor – Process Safety to join their team in Dyce. This is a permanent, full-time staff role with a 37.5-hour week. Due to the requirement for regular travel to other operational sites, hybrid working is not available.
The Role:
You will play a key role in supporting personnel across the business on HSSEQ matters, with a particular focus on process safety. This includes offering technical advice, conducting site visits, supporting investigations, monitoring compliance with the company’s Integrated Management System, and engaging with clients and regulators. You’ll work closely with operations teams to ensure safety standards are met and continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing technical HSSEQ and process safety guidance to site and operational teams.
* Monitoring and promoting compliance with internal safety systems and legal requirements.
* Conducting site visits, inspections, audits, and briefings.
* Supporting and managing incident investigations.
* Contributing to commercial tender submissions where required.
* Delivering HSSEQ inductions and training as necessary.
* Liaising with clients, industry bodies, and regulatory authorities.
* Supporting emergency response planning and exercises.
* Promoting a culture of HSSEQ excellence and proactive safety engagement.
Requirements:
* NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent H&S qualification.
* IOSH membership (or working towards).
* Train the Trainer certification (or equivalent).
* Full UK driving licence (essential due to travel requirements).
* Proven experience in a safety-related role, ideally within the oil & gas or hazardous process industry.
* Strong knowledge of process safety principles and legislation.
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence and drive change.
* Experience with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 and incident investigation.
Desirable:
* Certificate in Process Safety Management.
* Incident investigation training (e.g. Kelvin Top-Set).
* Auditor qualification.
* Dangerous Goods, Environmental, or Security qualifications.
