Resident Trust Specialist (Lower) in General Medicine
SWFT is launching a Trust-wide General Medicine Rotational Programme. Successful candidates will join a motivated team committed to teaching and professional development to ensure safe patient care. The appointee will work within a medical ward team led by a consultant, with input from Resident Doctors, Medical Nurse Practitioners, and Advanced Clinical Practitioners, as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
Appointees will have the opportunity to work across various medical specialties within the Trust during a one-year term. Opportunities will be tailored to service needs, with efforts made to accommodate specific interests.
Main duties of the job
This ward-based position involves a standard 43.45-hour week, including participation in a rolling weekend ward cover rota to support the Trust's 7-day care model.
The main responsibilities include:
* Supporting inpatient and General Medicine services in the Emergency Division at Warwick Hospital as directed by senior staff.
* Maintaining continuing professional education in line with relevant guidelines.
* Ensuring compliance with clinical governance requirements.
* Participating in clinical and service activities to uphold high standards of patient care.

Person Specification
Experience
* Registered with the General Medical Council.
* Holds a primary medical qualification.
* At least 2 years of post-qualification clinical experience.
* Understanding of audit principles.
* Working towards MRCP.
Personal Skills
* Enthusiastic, proactive, organized, and reliable.
* Effective time management and communication skills.
* Experience in teaching and participating in medical education.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Flexible and willing to work unsocial hours.
