About the Role:
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality electrical building services designs. Depending on your experience level, your responsibilities will include:
* Design Development: Crafting electrical systems designs, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and security systems, from concept to completion.
* Project Management: Leading or contributing to projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and compliance with relevant standards.
* Collaboration: Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, architects, and clients, to ensure integrated and efficient designs.
* Technical Documentation: Preparing detailed technical drawings, specifications, and reports using industry-standard software.
* Site Engagement: Conducting site visits and inspections to assess existing conditions and support project implementation.
* Mentorship: For senior candidates, mentoring junior engineers and contributing to their professional development.
Key Requirements:
* Educational Background: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
* Experience:
o Intermediate Level: Minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical design within the building services sector.
o Senior Level: Over 6 years' experience with a proven track record of leading projects.
* Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, or similar tools.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK building regulations, British Standards, and sustainability frameworks like BREEAM or LEED.
* Professional Development: Working towards or holding professional registration (IEng or CEng) is advantageous.
