Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and production meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menus while ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food production.
* Participate in food preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as necessary.
* Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and exceptional guest experiences.
Experience
* Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Previous supervisory or team management experience is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
* Excellent leadership abilities with a passion for hospitality and customer service.
