Spinwell is recruiting for a Subject Matter Expert (Cultural & Community Venues Review) for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
Responsibilities
* To undertake a comprehensive review of the operations of three borough halls, Himley Hall, Red House Cone, Museum and archives, and libraries contract/future provision to identify opportunities to improve efficiency of operations, opening hours, focus, extended use, reduce public subsidy, and assess future operating models including partnerships/alternative delivery models.
* A core outcome will be the development of a robust, evidence-based business case for each facility to inform future strategic decisions and operational focus.
* To take line management responsibility for all the operations to provide on-the-ground evidence of day-to-day operations, use, flow and missed opportunities.
Skills / Experience
* Proven expertise in managing or reviewing cultural/community venues (e.g. theatres, heritage sites, visitor centres, community operations, libraries)
* Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills
* Experience of developing and delivering business cases in a local government context
* Track record of assessing alternative delivery models and partnership options
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
