PMO Manager
Type: Permanent
We’re looking for a hands‑on PMO Manager who thrives in fast‑paced, change‑focused environments and enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to complex portfolios. This is a chance to take ownership of PMO operations that support large‑scale transformation, working alongside senior leaders to ensure projects are aligned, well‑governed, and delivering real business value.
You’ll play a key role in shaping how the change portfolio operates from prioritising initiatives and tracking benefits to refining governance and reporting frameworks that drive better decisions. If you enjoy balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery, this role will give you both scope and influence.
What you’ll be doing
* Keep the big picture in focus ensuring programmes align with business strategy and deliver measurable outcomes.
* Manage the intake and prioritisation process for new initiatives, helping leaders make informed investment decisions.
* Partner with Finance and senior stakeholders to track benefits, optimise portfolio performance, and guide future planning.
Governance & Oversight
* Maintain a consistent approach to portfolio governance, planning, and reporting.
* Build and maintain PMO artefacts from dashboards and plans to RAID logs and KPIs.
* Support a mix of delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), promoting best practice and quality standards.
* Act as a trusted partner to programme leads, delivery teams, and execs.
* Translate complex information into clear, actionable insights for decision‑makers.
Resources, Risk & Financials
* Work across teams to ensure resources, budgets, and capacity are effectively planned and managed.
* Monitor financials in partnership with Finance, maintaining accurate forecasts and reporting.
* Identify risks early, keeping the portfolio on track through proactive management and escalation.
* Look for smarter, simpler ways to work improving PMO processes, tools, and templates.
* Promote a culture of collaboration, learning, and delivery excellence.
What you’ll bring
* 5+ years’ experience as a PMO Manager or Senior PMO Analyst in large‑scale transformation or change environments.
* Strong understanding of portfolio management, governance, and delivery frameworks.
* Comfortable working with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
* Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
* Highly organised, analytical, and proactive someone who spots opportunities for improvement and acts on them.
* Proficiency in MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
