Reporting to : Executive Director - Paid Media The Role We are looking for a visionary Head of Paid Search to lead our award-winning team of Paid Media experts. As an industry-leading PPC expert, this is an opportunity to define and craft the future of Paid Search at Impression for the next 3-5 years. You will be the architect of our PPC product, driving technical innovation, integrating complex data strategies, and acting as the public face of our agency’s Paid Search offering. You will guide a large team to strive for better, to challenge best practices, and to solve challenges through innovative and technical solutions. Key Responsibilities Vision, Strategy & Product Development The 3-5 Year Roadmap: You will act as a visionary, building the vision and product roadmap for the PPC department for the next 3-5 years, identifying long-term opportunities within this ever-changing industry. Departmental Goals: You will define departmental goals and strategic plans for the future (1 year), ensuring we are not just reacting to the market, but leading it. Tech Stack Innovation: You will work collaboratively with technical teams and the Technical Director to build new tools and develop our proprietary tech stack, prioritising tools that will have the greatest impact on delivery and outcomes. Service Evolution: You will constantly evaluate how we can evolve our proposition to maintain a leading market position, and work with other Department Heads/Directors to ensure delivery of our craft meets the highest standards. Leadership & Talent Management Team Leadership: Inspire a team of 20-30 Paid Media experts, fostering a data-driven, solution-oriented, and commercial mindset. Prioritising the Craft: Challenge the status quo of how we drive results through Paid Search, ensuring best-in-class adoption of strategy and innovation Mentorship: Act as a true expert and thought leader within the field, using this to influence your team through mentorship and service leadership. Commercial, Growth & Industry Profile Industry Spokesperson: Act as the external face of our Paid Search offering - delivering talks, creating content, and networking to raise our profile and drive leads. New Business & Pitching: Lead the new business strategy for PPC on key enterprise-level accounts, building pitch strategies, and forging strong relationships with prospects. Client Relationships: Build strong and lasting relationships with our key client contacts, acting as an escalation point to support with account challenges and building action plans to reduce attrition and keep relationships healthy. Performance, Technical Delivery & Client Success Technical Mastery: Leverage your experience in integrating data, audiences, and digital experiences to drive superior results. Platform and Data Mastery: Be the go-to expert across Search platform functions and features, including but not limited to Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Search Ads360. Hands-on Guidance: Be willing to "get stuck in" to account work, guiding teams to find and implement the right solutions for complex client challenges. Portfolio Health: Proactively identify threats across the client portfolio. You will monitor and measure portfolio-level trends to identify opportunities or potential client flags.
