Overview
The Minster School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Support Assistant (SENSA) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide specialist support to individual students and groups by assisting with personal care and supporting learning under the supervision, direction and guidance of the SEN team.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist support to individual students and groups of students as directed by the SEN team.
* Assist with personal care and support learning activities as required.
* Work under the supervision, direction and guidance of the SEN team to support learners’ progress and aspirations.
Qualifications and Experience
* Significant previous experience of working with children/young people.
* Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
* Commitment to making a difference to the progress and aspirations of our students.
What we offer
* NJC Salary Scale – Grade 4 – Scale Point 8 - 14
* FTE £26,824 - £29,540; Actual £12,613 - £13,890
* Permanent position
* Hours: Term Time Only – 20.25 hours per week

The Minster School is a Church of England Academy, a member of the Minster Trust for Education, with NOR 1650 (including 400 in the Sixth Form) and an age range of 7-18. The school serves the local community of Southwell and surrounding villages and is regularly among the top schools in Nottinghamshire for achievement and attainment. It is home to East Midlands East Maths Hub and a partner of the Redhill Teaching Hub, and a member of the Minster Learning Alliance.
