As an apprentice, you will develop technical, legal, analytical and evaluation skills in contractual frameworks, costing a project and enhancing value for money.\n\nYou'll be based at our Glasgow Office with one day a week release to the University. You might be required to visit our Project Sites in Scotland when required.\nFollowing completion of your apprenticeship, you'll gain BSc (Hons) BSc Construction and the Built Environment â Quantity Surveying.\n\nYour typical responsibilities may include:\nSupport our commercial team with procurement activities (purchasing of material, services, products and other resources needed to complete a project);Assist with measuring, recording and valuing of work supervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures; Collation of Cost and Value information; As required assist with the taking off of quantities for tendering purposes; Assisting with allocating work to subcontractors; Preparing sub-contractor cost and budget comparisons; Making sure a project meets legal and quality standard; Assist in the preparation and submission of issuing of subcontract payment notifications; Communicate with other members of team â Site Managers, Engineers, Estimators. The course entry requirements are: Minimum of 4 SQA Highers with at least two Highers at grade B or higher. \nYou must be eligible to work and live in the UK. Preferably, have a full UK Driving License and access to car. You should have a strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your academic and vocational development.\n\nDesirable\n ⢠Experience within the Construction Industry.\n ⢠CSCS card.\n
