The Role
We are looking for a dynamic Head of Pastry Production to lead our bakery and patisserie production teams. You'll oversee the day-to-day running of our pastry, ensuring every item meets our highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both technical expertise and strong people skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the pastry production teams, including chefs, and kitchen porters.
* Supervise production performance, motivating staff to maintain high standards and deliver consistently excellent results.
* Plan and execute production schedules across daily, weekly, and monthly timelines.
* Manage resources efficiently to reduce waste and support profitability.
* Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety standards at all times.
* Maintain and oversee the upkeep of all production equipment.
* Train, mentor, and support the growth of your team through teaching and knowledge sharing.
* Collaborate on new product development and seasonal menu innovation alongside our founders.
* Take ownership of relevant administrative tasks and production documentation.
What You'll Be Doing
* Inspire and guide a talented team of pastry chefs.
* Create and produce a variety of high-quality cakes, desserts, and patisserie items.
* Oversee ingredient orders, stock control, and team scheduling.
* Champion excellence in consistency, hygiene, and productivity.
* Drive creativity and efficiency throughout the production process.
What You'll Bring
* Experience in a senior production leadership role.
* Several years of hands-on experience in professional patisserie
* Strong leadership and communication skills—you're a natural team leader and teacher.
* A methodical and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
* A deep passion for baking and a relentless commitment to quality.
* Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene best practices.
