This Maths Graduate opportunity is offered as an "Earn, while you teach & learn" route – a salaried Schools Direct scheme.
Key points about the scheme
* Paid position on the Unqualified Teacher (UQT) scale (most commonly UQ1)
* Employed directly by a school from day one
* Higher initial teaching load, typically around 15 periods per week
* Teaching load gradually increases to approximately 20 periods per week
* One dedicated training day per week
* Opportunity to gain QTS with PGCE (optional opt‑out available if required)
* Working at one school throughout – avoiding conflicts in teaching styles and reducing teacher stress
One of the schools is now looking for an Aspiring Maths Teacher to join their secondary school in September 2026. This is a full‑time, term‑time only position with the school employing you directly.
You will be working across the Maths Department, teaching KS3‑4 lessons, and focusing on attainment and the quality of learning.

* Desirable degree in maths or a related subject from a reputable university
* Strong A Levels and GCSEs across the board
* Confidence in knowledge of both the GCSE and A Level curriculum
