My client, a prestigious educational institution based in Central London, is seeking a highly organised and professional School Office Administrator to join their busy team.
Responsibilities
• Provide efficient administrative support to staff, pupils, and parents.
• Manage calls, emails, and visitors, ensuring all enquiries are handled promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate pupil and staff records in line with data protection and safeguarding policies.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, and documentation for the Senior Leadership Team.
• Support school processes such as events, timetabling, and exam administration.
Attendance & Front Office
• Oversee daily pupil registration, follow up absences, and track attendance with pastoral staff.
• Act as the first point of contact for pupils, parents, and visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming reception.
• Manage visitor security and assist with internal and external communications, including newsletters and parent correspondence.
Operational Support
• Assist with the organisation of school events and meetings.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of administrative tasks.
• Handle general procurement and provide support for safeguarding, HR, and compliance documentation.
Essential:
• Proven administrative or office experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office).
• Highly organised, proactive, and calm under pressure.
• Discreet and professional in handling confidential information.
Desirable:
• Experience in a school or education setting.
• Knowledge of school systems (e.g. iSAMS, SchoolBase).
• Understanding of GDPR and safeguarding.
• First Aid qualification or willingness to train.
