About the Role
One of my local government clients is seeking a Technical Assistant to join their team on a 6-month assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and technical experience, ideally within a construction, planning, or local authority environment.
You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of professional, accurate, and timely case management services across Building Control, Planning, and Land Charges. You’ll also promote customer self-service, maintain strict data confidentiality, and help identify opportunities for service improvement.
Key Responsibilities

 Manage casework and ensure accurate record-keeping
 * 
 Provide professional customer service and technical support
 * 
 Understand and apply relevant service processes, regulations, and legislation
 * 
 Maintain GDPR and data protection compliance
 * 
 Support colleagues and promote process improvements
About You
 * 
 Experience in a construction-related administrative role (or equivalent)
 * 
 Knowledge of Building Regulations 2010 and Building Act 1984 is highly desirable
 * 
 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
 * 
 Excellent attention to detail and analytical mindset
 * 
 Confident with Office 365, Outlook, and Teams
 * 
 A team player with a positive, proactive attitude
