Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for building strong customer relationships and a keen eye for market opportunities? A leading manufacturer and distributor in the interior product sector is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join their high-performing team.
About the Role
You will be responsible for developing and delivering sales strategies across a defined geographical region. The focus will be on expanding sales within retail showrooms and merchant customers, enhancing display presence, and providing exceptional service and training to partners.
This is a key customer-facing role, managing a regular call cycle and acting as the main point of contact for a portfolio of valued accounts. You’ll also play a crucial part in driving new business and supporting product launches through compelling in-store displays.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow a portfolio of showroom and merchant customers within your territory.
* Identify and close new business opportunities, particularly in display growth and showroom development.
* Provide product training, support, and merchandising expertise to partners.
* Deliver on sales targets and margin expectations.
* Gather and report competitor insights and market feedback.
* Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, and credit control.
* Attend industry events and exhibitions to represent the brand.
About You
* Proven track record in field sales, ideally in the interiors or construction products sector.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Highly motivated, organised, and commercially astute.
* Confident in negotiation and objection handling.
* Comfortable using CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and Microsoft Office tools.
* A strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
