Offer description

We’re Hiring: Two Full-Time Teaching Assistants (Starting September)
Location: Christchurch
Salary: £87 – £95 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2025

We are currently seeking two dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistants to join our friendly and inclusive school community from September 2025. These are full-time positions, offering the opportunity to work closely with pupils and make a meaningful impact on their learning journey.

The Roles:
1. Year 3 General Class Teaching Assistant
This position will involve working alongside the Year 3 class teacher to support pupils across the curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and experience working within a lower KS2 setting. You’ll be expected to assist with small group work, provide targeted interventions, and contribute to the overall classroom environment.

2. Year 5 ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) Teaching Assistant
This role requires experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly those with ASC. You will be working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver tailored support, helping the pupil(s) to engage with the curriculum and develop both academically and socially. Patience, understanding, and the ability to adapt your approach are key.

Additional Responsibilities:
Both roles may also involve leading or assisting with Literacy Boost Sessions, either on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. A good command of English, a creative approach to learning, and confidence in supporting literacy development are highly desirable.

What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within Key Stage 2

Confidence in supporting the delivery of the national curriculum

A calm, nurturing, and resilient approach to working with children

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2 or 3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential for the right candidate

What We Offer:
A welcoming and supportive school environment

Opportunities for further training and development

A committed and friendly team of staff and leadership

The chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners

If you are passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential and are ready to bring your skills and experience to a rewarding role, we’d love to hear from you
