OUR IMPACT
The Know Your Customer/Enhanced Due Diligence team within the Financial Crime Compliance Group is seeking an analyst/associate professional, ideally with prior brokerage and/or other financial industry experience. The analyst/associate will conduct enhanced due diligence on high-risk customer relationships to identify potential legal, financial crime, or reputational risks. They will also support, develop, and advise on the firm’s Client Identification Program, working closely with compliance, legal, operations, technology, and business personnel. The ideal candidate would have strong analytical, communication, and writing skills, the ability to collaborate with others, manage projects and processes, and prioritize a heavy workload. In this role, the analyst/associate is expected to quickly understand the firm’s businesses and the applicable rules and regulations, making executive decisions on behalf of the group based on a risk-based approach.
YOUR IMPACT
* Conduct enhanced due diligence on high-risk customers to identify potential legal, regulatory, or reputational risks.
* Provide guidance to the client onboarding teams and/or the business on anti-money laundering related matters.
* Manage challenging KYC and EDD escalations and work with stakeholders to resolve pending issues.
* Work on anti-money laundering related projects and develop/enhance compliance systems, policies, and procedures.
* Handle French regulatory reporting, including annual questionnaires and internal control reports.
Preferred Qualifications
* Strong academic record with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
* Prior experience in investment banking/financial services and knowledge of securities industry and products.
* Compliance experience with a technical understanding of AML and Sanctions regulations.
* Experience with data analytics tools and knowledge of SQL.
* Ability to work independently and in team settings.
* Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize workflows and meet deadlines.
* Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
* Proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized.
* Compliance or legal-related experience in financial services is preferred.
