The Bowel Screening Administrator will have collective oversight and control of the administrative service, ensuring a qualitative and responsive service is maintained to support the effectiveness of the service. The main remit of this role is to provide support to the clinical team and to provide backfill for our services within the Directorate
Main duties of the job
Provide administrative support to the Bowel Screening Programme. Support Management and Clinical staff in ensuring all aspects of the Patient Access Policy and local policies are adhered too.
Support Health Promotion activities.
Provide cover in the event of sickness or Annual leave for colleagues across the Sussex programme wherever necessary.
Provide support to Management in audits and reports.
Be first point of contact for patients and stakeholders where needed.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Please note: This role does not meet the minimum criteria for visa sponsorship under the current UK immigration rules, which set specific salary and skill thresholds. 1. Accountable for providing an administrative service for the programme.
2. Act as first point of contact for service users.
3. Arrange colonoscopy appointments for the identified patients. This would involve accessing various IT systems and liaising with local trust service managers to agree local schedules etc
4. Maintain regular communication with Primary Care and other stakeholders
5. Maintain the local databases.
6. Ensure smooth referral pathways are adhered to for patients referred to local services.
7. Maintain and monitor the waiting lists and local databases
8. Participate in educational/awareness sessions and provide administrative support to Health Promotion Leads and be the main point of contact for Health Promotion admin related requirements.
9. Support the clinical team in the development of performance reporting tools.
10. Responsible for the co-ordination of personnel timetables during times of annual and sick leave escalating any concerns to managers
11. Assist the Manager in the development of robust information systems that will support the current and future needs of the Service.
12. Responsible for the production of regular and ad hoc reports for both
internal and external recipients.
13. Provide administrative support for meetings as appropriate.
14. Collate and analyse data from various sources to meet the required
reporting standards.
15. Participate in the development of new systems to meet changing
information requirements.
16. Ensure adequate supplies of stationery, consumables and office equipment as appropriate.
17. Ensure the security, maintenance and cleanliness of office accommodation and equipment.
18. Help build and maintain our social media presence.
19. Carry out other duties as appropriate to the post.
