Job Title: Motor Trade Underwriter

Salary: £40,000
Job Purpose:
To assess, price, and underwrite motor trade insurance policies in line with company guidelines and risk appetite, ensuring profitability and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluate new and renewal motor trade insurance applications.
* Analyse risk information and determine appropriate terms, premiums, and coverage.
* Build and maintain strong broker and client relationships.
* Monitor the performance of your portfolio to ensure profitability.
* Ensure underwriting decisions comply with regulatory and company standards.
* Support the development of underwriting guidelines and product improvements.
* Assist with training and mentoring junior underwriters, if required.
Key Skills & Experience:
1. Previous experience in motor trade or commercial motor insurance underwriting.
2. Strong understanding of motor trade risks (e.g., road risk, combined policies).
3. Good analytical and decision-making skills.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
