Pharmacist – Skilled Worker Visa Sponsorship Available
Manchester’s Baguley Pharmacy is looking for a skilled, patient-focused chemist to join our expanding community pharmacy. Full‑time position with a salary ranging from £35,852.17 to £64,421.30 per annum.
Responsibilities
* Accurately dispense prescription drugs in compliance with legal and medical regulations.
* Provide patients with professional guidance on medication use, potential adverse effects, and interactions.
* Monitor patient responses to drug regimens and collaborate with medical specialists to modify treatments as needed.
* Maintain thorough records of prescriptions and patient interactions in accordance with data protection laws.
* Assist with medication inventory management, including reordering and stock inspections.
* Educate patients on medical conditions and drug adherence to ensure optimal health outcomes.
* Collaborate with medical personnel to develop individualized treatment plans.
* Ensure all applicable healthcare laws, guidelines, and best practices are followed.
Delivery of Clinical Services
* Consultation Service for Community Pharmacists (CPCS)
* The New Medicine Service (NMS)
* Structured Reviews of Medications (when appropriate)
* Services for Quitting Smoking
* Seasonal immunisation campaigns (COVID‑19, flu)
* Vaccinations and travel health consultations
* Programs for weight management
* Private prescription services (if eligible)
* Health screening (risk of diabetes, cholesterol)
Care for Patients
* Provide professional clinical guidance and medication counselling.
* Assist patients with both mild and chronic illnesses.
* Promote health and wellness proactively.
* Uphold strict confidentiality and protection guidelines.
Operations & Dispensing
* Ensure precise, effective, and safe dosing.
* Adhere to SOPs and GPhC standards.
* Assist with daily pharmacy operations.
* Oversee and support the pharmaceutical team.
Development of Services
* Encourage and increase the provision of clinical services.
* Contribute to patient satisfaction and business expansion.
* Work toward KPIs and service targets.
Essential Requirements
* Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Qualified to work in the UK with a skilled worker visa (sponsorship available).
* Strong clinical expertise and a patient‑centred methodology.
* Outstanding consultation and communication abilities.
* Capacity to confidently provide NHS pharmacy services.
