Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with experience in fine dining and catering environments. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation while leading a team of culinary professionals.

Duties

* Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance culinary skills and performance.
* Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
* Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to minimize waste.
* Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
* Maintain high standards of food presentation and quality for all dishes served.
* Ensure efficient kitchen operations through effective shift management and team collaboration.
* Participate in catering events, providing exceptional service and culinary expertise.
* Uphold restaurant management practices to create a positive dining experience for guests.

Qualifications

* Proven experience in a culinary role within the food industry, preferably as a Sous Chef or similar position.
* Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff.
* Knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and best practices in food service management.
* Experience with inventory management and control processes to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
* Culinary experience with a focus on fine dining, banquet service, or catering is highly desirable.
* Excellent cooking skills with an ability to prepare diverse cuisines while maintaining quality standards.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
