Protocol Education is working closely with friendly, supportive primary schools across South Bristol to support Fully Qualified Teachers and Early Career Teachers looking to teach in Upper KS2, with roles ASAP.
This is a brilliant opportunity to step into the summer term with confidence, teaching Year 5 or Year 6 pupils at such a pivotal stage in their primary journey. If you enjoy working with older learners and supporting them as they build independence, resilience and readiness for secondary school, this could be a great fit.
Starting after Easter gives you the chance to join a settled team and make a real impact during those important final terms. You’ll be supported in developing your classroom practice, behaviour management and subject knowledge, all within a setting that understands the needs of new teachers.
At Protocol Education, we take the time to match you with a school where expectations, behaviour culture and support structures feel right. We work with schools that genuinely value mentoring, teamwork and staff wellbeing, so you can focus on growing into the teacher you want to be.
The Role:
You’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum, including English, maths and foundation subjects, stepping into the classroom after half-term with clear direction and support from experienced colleagues and teaching assistants.
You’ll create a calm, purposeful and inclusive environment where pupils feel both challenged and supported. As they move through the latter part of the academic year, your focus will be on helping them grow in confidence, take ownership of their learning and stay motivated.
You’ll assess progress carefully, provide meaningful feedback and adapt teaching to meet a range of needs, including SEND. Building strong, positive relationships will be key, especially as pupils continue preparing for their next stage in education.
