We currently have a vacancy for a Deputy Younger Persons Services Manager to join our team, we are looking for a positive and dynamic Deputy Manager who has proven strong leadership skills, is able to remain calm in a crisis, and shows focus on youth engagement to empower the young people to reach their full the role you will be responsible for directly line managing and supervising the Support Officers based at Ludlow Foyer, ensure the delivery of positive strength-based models (SMART) to achieve high quality support service outcomes for young people and to support the Service Manager and team to meet The Supported Accommodation Regulations 2023 from Ofsted for 16- and 17-year-old care experienced young this role a trauma informed approach is a must along with a strong understanding of the issues that young people 16-25 may face when at risk of working should be second nature to you as you will need to be confident when working with statutory agencies, as well as aiding in the growth of the service by developing new links and partnerships within Shropshire with a particular emphasis on training, employment and work-based Foyer is staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week, your general hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9-5 but at times flexibility will be required for continuity of the service and some evening and weekend work may be will also be part of an on-call rota to offer support and guidance over the phone every 6 weeks, an additional flat rate of £154 will be paid for you would like further information about the role, or for an informal chat please contact:Domonique Pugh, Younger Persons Service Manager on 07972192214.Shortlisting date: 23 July 2025Interview date: 28 July 2025This role will be subject to an enhanced DBS post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act ConnexusConnexus is a rural housing association with its heritage in Shropshire and Herefordshire, providing good quality, affordable and safe homes that customers are proud to live in.
