:
1. To plan and prioritize day to day workload in line with the laboratory’s requirements and adapt and be flexible, meeting analysts needs and expectations.
2. To perform basic analytical tasks such as appearance, pH and other physical tests.
3. To book in laboratory samples.
4. To prepare glassware for analysis.
5. To perform second analyst checks for subjective tests.
6. To maintain the laboratory stock of chemicals and consumable items.
7. To prepare laboratory solutions to be used in GMP analysis (salt solutions/buffers/diluents/mobile phases/analytical standards)
8. To order items as the need arises, including gaining approvals to order and collaborating closely with suppliers to drive cost savings.
9. To ensure expired chemicals are taken out of use.
10. Performance checks on items of equipment (balances, pH meters etc) to ensure they are available for use.
11. To support the use of the LIMS system as required.
12. To be flexible and adaptable in working in different areas within the laboratory if and whenrequired.
13. To carry out any other tasks which may be required from time to time.
14. To follow GMP requirements and company rules, policies and procedures.

15. Understand emergency procedures and follow safe systems of work.
16. Ensure compliance with environment, health and safety rules, signage and instructions at all times.
17. Ensure timely reporting and investigation of all accidents, near misses and breaches of rules.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
18. No previous laboratory experience required.
19. Ideally educated to A level in a Science based subject.
20. Good Word and Excel skills.
21. Demonstrable organisational skills.
22. Able to work to critical timelines.
23. Effective exchanging of information
24. Proactive approach to tackling demanding activities.
25. Ability to track multiple projects.
26. Ability to collaborate to achieve results.
