Were looking for a skilled Service Supervisor to lead a team of engineers and technicians delivering maintenance, service, installation and repair work across the Midlands region. Its full time and permanent covering sites up to 1 hour away from Derby.
This role is ideal for a Service Team Leader with a minimum of 5 - 10 years hands-on experience working with industrial ammonia systems or for someone looking to move into a more supervisory and planning-focused position, while still staying close to the technical side of the industry.
Key Responsibilities as Service Supervisor
Supervise and support a team of service engineers, technicians, and apprentices across industrial and commercial refrigeration contracts.
Oversee service, maintenance, installation, and repair activities on ammonia and industrial refrigeration systems.
Ensure customer satisfaction, profitability, and timely completion of all jobs.
Estimate labour and prepare accurate quotations for service and maintenance work.
Plan and allocate labour resources effectively across contracts.
Mentor and develop engineers through training and technical support.
Maintain compliance with company and industry safety and quality standards.
Essential Skills & Experience as Service Supervisor
Minimum 5 - 10 years experience working with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
Strong leadership and communication skills, able to motivate, plan, and manage a team.
Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
Experience in a supervisory, senior, or lead engineer role (preferred).
A proactive, safety-conscious approach to engineering and people management.
