You will be working in the Building Services OU based in the Walsall Hospital, who are responsible for creating healthy workplaces and efficient facilities that improve people’s lives. We are looking for a Lifecycle Manager who will be responsible for developing and overseeing the submission and delivery of Walsall Manor Hospital lifecycle plans. To oversee, and where required, manage capital projects across the Walsall Manor Hospital site ensuring statutory compliance with works undertaken on the Walsall hospital site.
As the Lifecycle Manager, you will:
1. Work with the Operations Manager and Technical Manager to ensure all Trust Variation Enquiries are completed and returned within contractual timeframes.
2. Management of lifecycle works and capital projects including design, tender process, material orders, resource planning and implementation of direct labour or contract labour.
3. Liaise with package managers and authorised persons for the preparation and implementation of safe systems of work/permit to work systems.
4. Pre-plan all works with relevant Stakeholders liaising with all relevant parties including but not limited to Operations Manager, Technical Manager, clients, trade contractors and other third parties including departments to agree an acceptable commencement date for the works.
5. Ensure tendering procedures, contracts and documentation are adhered to and undertake the role of Contract Administrator when required.
6. Responsible for in process/under construction inspections delivering exemplary health and safety standards, checking the built works to ensure defect free handovers and management of any remedial works if required.
We are looking for:
7. Educated to HNC level is desirable.
8. Must hold a professional qualification.
9. Full UK driving licence.
10. IOSH managing safety/SMSTS CITB - desirable.
11. A good understanding of PFI contracts and funding.
12. Proven experience as a Project Manager, with examples of targets reached and how, involved in quality procedures.
