As a Maintenance Person, you'll take responsibility for the upkeep, safety, and appearance of the home, carrying out repairs, checks, and improvements to keep our residents comfortable and secure.
What We're Looking For:
We welcome applicants with practical skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
Preferred (but not essential):
* Previous experience in maintenance, caretaking, or a trade role.
* Knowledge of health and safety, fire safety, and basic compliance requirements.
Full support and training will be provided where needed.
Your Role:
* Complete routine maintenance tasks and minor repair work.
* Carry out weekly safety checks (fire alarms, fire doors, window restrictors, wheelchairs, beds, etc.).
* Undertake monthly checks of firefighting equipment and complete legionella monitoring tasks.
* Monitor water temperatures, clean shower heads, and maintain accurate records.
* Support staff by moving furniture and assisting with room setup.
* Carry out decorating and touch-ups, ensuring a well-presented home environment.
* Keep outdoor areas, car park, and bin storage clean and tidy.
* Liaise with external contractors and suppliers.
* Be available for occasional out-of-hours maintenance support.
* Ensure health and safety is prioritised at all times for residents, staff, and visitors.
