Junior Mechatronic Engineer
LOCATION: Andover
TERM: Permanent
SALARY: £28,000‑£35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
My client works within the engineering manufacturing sector, and they are looking to take on a Junior Mechatronic Engineer, on a permanent basis, to join their team in Andover.
The Junior Mechatronic Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* 1 year or more experience working in a similar hands‑on Mechanical Design / Development position within a manufacturing environment
* Proficiency with using 3D CAD; ideally SolidWorks but other software will be considered
* Have the ability to select the correct engineering components and materials
* Previous experience of working with special purpose machine assemblies, test rigs or precision tooling would be desirable
* The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
The Junior Mechatronic Engineer role will involve:
* Designing development equipment, prototype production tooling, test rigs, machine parts and other equipment in an engineering development environment
* Working with SolidWorks CAD software
* Updating 3D models and drawings
* Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
* Checking drawings for sign off
* Working in a multi‑disciplinary engineering team
* Providing engineering problem resolution and support
* Working in a small multi‑disciplinary team on varied projects
