We are excited to offer an amazing opportunity to dynamic mental health practitioners; Registered Mental Health nurses, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, to join our CQC Good rated, vibrant and evolving service. This team includes the Mental Health Urgent Care hub, Mental Health Response Vehicle and Place of Safety Assessment Unit within the Urgent, Emergency and Access Care pathway. The MHUCH hub is a unit set up during COVID to divert patients from accident and emergency to triage and assess patients with LLR who are experiencing mental health crisis. It is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with band 6 MHPs and band 3 health care support workers.Shift pattern is 08:00am to 20:30pm and Night shift 20:00pm to 08:00am. The MHRV is a new service set up in early 2024, it a mental health ambulance grey in colour with the NHS log inscribed on the side. It provides on the scene triage and assessment for patients in mental health crisis within LLR. It is also staffed by band 6 MHPs and band 3 health care support workers, operating between 12:00pm and 00:30am 7 days a week. Main duties of the job As a Mental Health Practitioner you will act as an independent practitioner within a defined community setting while liaising with other professionals as necessary. You will provide a specialist assessment of risk to clients coming into contact with the service and social and practical interventions to promote partnerships between health, social and voluntary sectors and to access the resources of these agencies. Capable of identifying and collaborating with a range of local specialist and non-specialist community resources available to service users and their carers to assist them to maintain quality of life.
