Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Application Engineer to join our technical team. Based in Peterborough, this role offers a mix of office-based engineering work and on-site involvement — including troubleshooting, commissioning, and training support for our clients.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with hands-on work, and who’s passionate about solving complex, real-world problems.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide application and technical support for pump systems in water, wastewater, and food & beverage sectors
* Prepare system designs, technical proposals, and equipment selections
* Support sales efforts with engineering insight and practical solutions
* Conduct site visits for commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer training
* Maintain clear communication with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
* Stay current with industry standards, technologies, and product innovations
Requirements
* An engineering-related qualification (Mechanical, Process, or similar discipline)
* Experience with pumps, hydraulic systems, fluid handling equipment, or rotating machinery needed
* Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Willingness to travel across the UK as needed
* Full UK driving licence

Location: This role is based at our office in Peterborough. Occasional travel to customer sites across the UK will be required.
