Sheridan Maine is working with a growing media business based in central London to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive finance professional looking to develop their career in a dynamic and fast-growing environment.
Key responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant:
1. Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journals.
2. Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
3. Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
4. Prepare and analyse variance reports against budgets and forecasts.
5. Assist in producing cashflow forecasts and support working capital management.
6. Support the budgeting and forecasting cycle with accurate and timely data.
7. Reconcile intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies.
8. Assist with preparation of VAT returns and compliance reporting.
9. Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties.
The successful Assistant Management Accountant:
10. Strong accounting knowledge, ideally with experience in a similar finance role.
11. Comfortable working with management accounts, reconciliations, and reporting.
12. Highly organised, accurate, and able to work to deadlines.
13. A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
14. Proactive, with a willingness to take ownership and learn in a growing business.
