This post is an exciting, challenging opportunity for an enthusiastic person with a proven background and experience within a fertility service.
The post holder will work closely with the consultants, lead nurse, head of nursing gynaecology, administration team and the quality manage with regards to the ongoing support of the fertility service needs.
You should be a forward thinking individual who is able to work independently in support all individuals attending the clinics as this role with focus on nurse led clinic's.
Main duties of the job
You will be a registered nurse with a post registration nursing course in Fertility with experience as a Fertility Nurse.
You should have proven management and leadership skills as well as the ability to demonstrate initiative and innovation, effective communication skills and the ability to organise your own caseload.
You will also be able to demonstrate effective teaching and presentation skills as you will be responsible for providing education and support to primary care teams. You will also be required to provide clinical care to a caseload of patients with fertility needs. You will be able to work with and support the consultants, quality manager, administration and laboratory team providing high standards of care in line with the HFEA regulations.
1. To support and review patients to ensure that the best management of their fertility treatments.
2. The post holder is responsible to manage a caseload of patients involving both face-to-face and non face- face clinics.
3. The post holder works as an autonomous practitioner delivering knowledge and expertise within the specialist area.
4. To have good communication skills and work within the speciality team to ensure cohesive multidisciplinary management of patients.

6. •Degree or equivalent

7. •MSc or evidence of study at master’s level
Skills/ Abilities

8. •Evidence of competency based clinical skills in fertility.
9. •Venepuncture
10. •Ability to carry out intrauterine insemination

11. •Completed BFS or other recognised ultrasound scan course
Experience

12. •Substantial post registration experience working in fertility/gynaecology/maternity at band 6
13. •Experience of Line managing staff
