This is a permanent, full-time opportunity within an alternative provision environment, supporting students who require a more tailored approach to education. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff. You will deliver pre-set work, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and support students in staying engaged and on task.About the SchoolThe school provides a nurturing and structured setting for young people who benefit from alternative provision. * Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring a calm and purposeful learning environment
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions
* Manage behaviour in line with the school's policies
* Support students with varying needs, encouraging engagement and participation
* Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
* Build positive professional relationships with pupils and staff

* Experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, or care setting
* Confident classroom presence and strong behaviour management skills
* Ability to work calmly under pressure and adapt to different situations
* Passion for supporting students in an alternative provision setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A positive, proactive and resilient attitude
