We're now looking for a Transport Shift Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements at East Midlands Gateway. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and transport specific procedures.
✅WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Accountable for the delivery of all aspects of the shift operation ensuring the delivery of efficient & customer focused service
* Accountable for driver and fleet compliance in line with legal and DHL standards
* Conduct effective daily brief/debrief, performance dialogues and ensure the recordng of accurate data
* Management of driver teams performance, training and record keeping
✅WHAT YOU'LL BRING
* Previous experience in a management role
* Previous experience in a transport environment
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage, organise and train direct reports
* Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages (desirable)
* A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received
