About the role
This dynamic role offers variety, challenge, and the opportunity to contribute to strategic outcomes while supporting a key leader within Hunter New England Health. Within the role, you will manage complex diaries, oversee facility management tasks, and act as a trusted liaison between internal and external stakeholders.
Your ability to anticipate needs and take proactive action will be key to your success. From handling sensitive communications with discretion to preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence with precision, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational efficiency.
In addition to your strong technical ability, you will engage with and build strong working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior managers and executives. Although you will be required to work independently and autonomously, you’ll also demonstrate strong collaboration and an ability to work in a highly motivated, cohesive environment.
The role is proactive in meeting the needs of the portfolio and requires the ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and strong attention to detail.
This role can be based in Newcastle or Tamworth.

You are an enthusiastic, positive, and highly aware professional with the ability to manage a diverse portfolio with efficiency and precision. Your strong negotiation and problem-solving skills allow you to navigate challenges with confidence, while your exceptional communication ensures seamless interactions at all levels. Discretion and professionalism come naturally to you, and your IT proficiency enables you to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
With a keen focus on presentation, organisation, and efficiency, you bring a polished, methodical, and flexible approach to everything you do, excelling in dynamic environments that require you to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Experience or knowledge of the health sector is essential and will support your ability to effectively navigate the environment and contribute to the success of the role.
How you'll be supported
To ensure your success within the role you will have a dedicated handover period, working closely with the current Executive Assistant. During this time, you’ll receive valuable guidance and support, ensuring a smooth and seamless transition into your new position.
