Cleaning Manager
Salary: Starting at £30,000 per annum.
Contract: Permanent, Full Time. Weekly Hours: 37.5.
Location: Network Rail, York Campus, Cinder Lane, York, North Yorkshire, England, YO26 4ZD.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee cleaning operations at a high‑profile site, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety and hygiene.
Manage and supervise the cleaning team, including rota management, attendance and sickness records, recruitment and onboarding.
Provide operational oversight: maintain planned and reactive cleaning tasks, keep facilities safe, clean and well‑kept.
Work closely with site management and staff, handle customer needs, attend meetings, produce reports.
Maintain compliance: update policies, adhere to health and safety, maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications & Requirements
Leadership or supervisory experience, ideally in cleaning services.
Organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment; resilience and problem‑solving.
Strong communication skills, flexible, reliable, proactive.
Willingness to undergo basic DBS check and random drug and alcohol testing.
Experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong IT skills – Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel).
Physically fit and capable of active role duties.
