Job Description
As a Financial Reporting Accountant you will be preparing the Group's external financial reporting, including the Group Annual report and accounts, quarterly interim reporting and subsidiary statutory accounts and related work papers. You will have involvement in assisting in other areas such as accounting queries, day to day management of external auditors, process improvements and ad hoc projects.
As a Financial Reporting Accountant we are looking for someone to:
11. Prepare the Group annual report and accounts, subsidiary annual statutory accounts and quarterly external reporting to agreed deadlines.
12. Coordinate external audit requests ensuring requests are responded to on a timely basis and accurate documentation is provided
13. Produce statutory accounts work papers to a high standard and in a timely manner in accordance with reporting timetables, whilst also appropriately addressing review comments
14. Ensure all areas of work involved in are well controlled, accurately prepared, documented and in line with the Financial Reporting Framework.
15. Produce ad-hoc financial information and analysis as and when required
16. Effectively communicate with key stakeholders across Group Finance to ensure the correct financial information is obtained
17. Draft quarterly and annual timetables to ensure key delivery dates are met, updating on progress and managing stakeholders across the projects.
Qualifications
Essential:
18. Relevant experience in reporting under IFRS
19. Statutory accounting, audit or management accounting experience
20. Highly organised and efficient with an ability to work under pressure and deliver to agreed deadlines
21. Effectively communicating and managing senior stakeholders
22. Strong focus on quality of work with attention to detail
Desirable:
23. Financial services industry experience
24. Experience with producing statutory reporting for listed companies, within a bank or financial services business
25. IFRS9 financial instruments experience
