To own and coordinate the Engineering Change Request (ECR) process end to end, ensuring customer-driven and business-critical changes are efficiently evaluated, approved, and delivered in line with technical, regulatory, operational, and commercial requirements.
While this role has no direct customer ownership initially, it enables effective cross-functional decision making and supports OEM, product, and system-level outcomes across the business. This position sits at the intersection of engineering, product management, compliance, operations, and commercial teams.
Responsibilities
* Manage ECRs from initiation to closure, including documentation, approvals, tracking, and reporting.
* Act as the central point of contact for ECR-related activities.
* Ensure change impacts are understood, compliant, and appropriately scoped.
* Support system-level and product-level technical discussions where required.
* Identify and support improvements to change management processes.
Technical Requirements of the position
* Advocate for Continuous Improvement and collaborative working practices.
* Ensure all approved engineering changes and concessions are implemented in a controlled and timely manner.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company processes.
* Communicate progress, issues, and risks clearly, escalating where appropriate.
