Technical Support Engineer
Location: BroughtonContract Length: Until Nov 2026 (likely extension)Hours: 35 per week, 4.5-day pattern between 7am-7pmIR35: Inside IR35Pay: £26.92 p/h PAYE / £36 UmbrellaOvertime: 25% Mon-Fri, 50% Sat-Sun, +20% shift uplift
Role Summary
We're seeking a hands-on Technical Support Engineer to deliver fast, effective lineside support on a busy manufacturing shopfloor. You will resolve technical issues, support production continuity, and act as a key connection between production, engineering, quality and logistics teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide daily lineside support for technical issues including non-conformities, concessions, missing parts, tooling and DQNs.
* Manage and escalate Work Orders and blocked tasks.
* Support continuous improvement, LEAN activities, and process optimisation.
* Raise tooling repairs/modifications and support asset updates.
* Uphold EHS and quality standards and support material flow for rework.
Skills & Experience
* Strong manufacturing/lineside experience.
* Practical problem-solving ability.
* Experience in production/engineering environments.
* SAP knowledge.
* Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
* Understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
