You will work within a multi-disciplinary team in a custodial environment, delivering a high-standard drug and alcohol recovery service tailored to the needs of service users as part of Inclusion and Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.
You will provide a range of psychosocial interventions to motivate and support service users in achieving recovery and positive outcomes within a recovery-oriented substance misuse treatment service.
You will collaborate with clinical prescribing services to meet the needs of each service user, ensuring integrated working is a key element of Inclusion's prison services.
You will deliver a comprehensive drug and alcohol recovery service, including assessment, recovery planning, casework coordination, and psychosocial interventions, to individuals within the prison establishment.
You will contribute to and work within the prison and wider drug strategy, providing varied interventions aligned with the stepped care model, and partner with key agencies to support service users on their recovery journeys.
You will deliver substance misuse and wellbeing elements of the integrated offender team and facilitate groups as part of your role.

Our Substance Misuse Service at HMP Bullingdon seeks a dynamic and experienced Recovery Worker. The team is innovative and committed to a recovery-focused approach that meets individuals' needs. You will be part of a supportive team with effective management, supervision, and guidance.
Working with individuals with complex offending backgrounds and substance use needs in prison is both challenging and rewarding. This role offers a chance to make a positive impact on the lives of often disadvantaged and vulnerable people.
This position is open to qualified professionals or members of the public with experience and understanding of drug and alcohol recovery. We are willing to support your professional development and offer opportunities for those with less than 12 months of experience.
