We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to support the delivery of our evolving Urology Psychology service. Our service supports patients with benign urological conditions accessing healthcare at UCLH at Westmoreland Street Hospital. As a key member of the psychology team, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the service.
There will be opportunities for direct and indirect clinical work and supporting the work of two qualified Clinical Psychologists. We are a relatively newly established service, with many opportunities for learning and developing an understanding of this unique area of clinical health psychology. The post-holder will be supervised by one of the psychologists in the team.
Main duties of the job
The role includes supporting the triage of new psychology referrals and the service referral meeting. We anticipate opportunities to work on developing clinical materials for the service with the support of senior colleagues. The post-holder will contribute to the collection of outcomes to help inform service evaluation. The role involves working under the supervision of a qualified psychologist, to provide support in the establishment and management of specialist interventions and programmes in this area.
