Academic Administration Officer
Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN), John Radcliffe Hospital, Headington, Oxford, OX3 9DU
We are looking for an Academic Administration Officer to join the NDCN. You will be a key member of the Academic Administration Team, supporting the administration of NDCN's diverse, world leading undergraduate teaching and postgraduate research and taught programmes of study. You will provide a professional, high quality, customer‑focused service, assisting the team, tutors, academics, students and other professional services staff. This will involve taking primary day‑to‑day responsibility for administrative aspects of the graduate programmes in NDCN under the supervision of the Senior Academic Administration Officer. In addition, you will support the NDCN Academic Administration team with the Year 5 undergraduate programme when required. You will also carry out other duties related to our courses and team administration.
To be successful in the post you will require initiative, good attention to detail, excellent communication skills and an ability to respond quickly, efficiently and sensitively to situations where arrangements may need to be changed at short notice. You will be required to maintain an understanding of the academic programmes delivered by the department and will be required to liaise with students, academic staff and other administrators about key milestones and requirements for milestones and processes. The successful candidate will also be educated to degree level or equivalent combination of training and experience, and have experience of providing a high level of customer service and have a good understanding of general administrative practices and procedures. Experience of editing online media and experience of academic administration in the HE sector is desirable.

This post is full time (with flexibility for part‑time, minimum 0.8 FTE) and fixed term for 3 years.
