PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £44,000 - £46,000 depending on experience + London Weighting Allowance of £5,441 added on top of the base.

Purpose of the Role
Join BBC Studios as a Mobile App Tester and help ensure high-quality mobile experiences across global markets. You will be responsible for testing, validating and improving the quality of our mobile applications across both iOS and Android platforms.

Your Key Responsibilities and Impact
* Test new features and improvements across mobile applications to ensure high quality user experiences.
* Write and maintain automated mobile tests using Detox and TypeScript.
* Contribute to the development and stability of the automated test suite.
* Perform manual and exploration testing where automation is not appropriate.
* Identify, log and track defects, collaborating closely with developers to resolve issues.
Essential Criteria – Your Skills and Experience
* Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android.
* Experience writing automated tests using Detox, TypeScript and Cucumber or similar frameworks.
* Strong understanding of mobile testing approaches including functional, regression and exploratory testing.
* Familiarity with release and distribution tools such as TestFlight.
* Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines and defect tracking tools such as Jira.
Desired but Not Required
* Experience testing apps in production with real user analytics.
* Experience testing mobile APIs and backend integrations.
* Familiarity with accessibility testing for mobile applications.
* Exposure to performance or reliability testing on mobile platforms.
