About the Role
Based out of our Glasgow or Edinburgh offices, you will lead and mentor the specialist Electrical Engineering team in Scotland. Your work will span from initial feasibility and concept design through detailed delivery, providing key technical outputs such as Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, and comprehensive technical specifications. You will also mentor junior engineers and act as a critical link between project managers, clients, and supply chain partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead EICA design services from optionaling and concept design to detailed delivery and feasibility studies.
* Produce essential project outputs, including Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, and technical specifications.
* Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
* Collaborate closely with Project Managers, clients, and supply chain partners throughout the full project lifecycle.
Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar equivalent.
* Robust background in EICA engineering design.
* Holding Chartered or Incorporated status is highly desirable.
* Skilled technical communicator with experience in leading HAZOPs and designing collaborative design discussions.
* Experience in the Water sector is a significant advantage; experience in energy, infrastructure, or environmental sectors is also valued.
* Understanding of DSEAR requirements in design is highly valued.
