Supply Chain Manager - Food Manufacturing

A rapidly scaling premium food manufacturer is recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager on a full‑time, permanent basis in Mansfield.
We are open to considering candidates who may not yet have fully established end‑to‑end Supply Chain Management experience but do bring solid grounding across core supply chain functions, along with the drive, ambition, and growth mindset to develop quickly.

Key Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Taking ownership of the end‑to‑end supply chain, supporting smooth daily operations across planning, procurement, warehousing, and logistics.
Managing relationships with approximately six core suppliers, including raw material ordering, performance monitoring, contract discussions, and ensuring stock availability.
Leading demand and production planning, translating forecasts into workable factory schedules while maintaining strong OTIF performance.
Overseeing monthly stock counts, investigating discrepancies, managing inbound materials, and mitigating risks around low or high inventory.
Driving warehouse organisation and optimisation - improving layout, pallet flow, and operational efficiency across goods in/out.
Managing 3PL relationships and supporting any future retendering processes.
Supporting NPD projects (typically 2 - 3 in parallel), ensuring supply readiness for new launches and packaging revisions.
Maintaining accurate data within the ERP system and supporting finance with KPI tracking and month‑end reporting.
Key Skills & Experience
Applicants should bring:
Experience within food manufacturing (essential).
Meaningful exposure across procurement, planning, stock management, warehousing, or logistics.
Confidence using ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel capability.
A hands‑on, proactive approach with the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial SME environment.
Strong analytical capability, excellent attention to detail, and comfort with owning processes.
A collaborative, practical problem‑solving mindset with excellent communication skills.
High energy, ambition, and a real desire to grow, develop, and help drive the business forward.
