Job Purpose:
The Senior Engineer - Structural Integrity will collaborate within the Component and Structural Integrity Integration team to develop structural integrity requirements and guidance, supporting their implementation across components and the E3S case.
Structural integrity involves a comprehensive case for pressure vessel and component reliability, considering design, materials, stress analysis, non-destructive examination, manufacturing, and quality.

The Key Selection Criteria:
* Knowledge of the Cross-Functional Structural Integrity Discipline in the Nuclear Industry
Understanding the role of design, materials, quality, and manufacture in a high-reliability nuclear structural integrity case, aligned with UK expectations (ONR Safety Assessment Principles EMC.1 to EMC.3). Broad understanding of these disciplines is essential.
* Understanding of Pressure Vessels and their Design Codes
Knowledge of pressure vessel design or similar pressure-retaining components, and familiarity with nuclear design codes like ASME Section III or equivalent, or non-nuclear codes such as EN, ASME VIII, PED/PSSR.
* Ability to Structure and Present Logical Safety Arguments
Capability to construct and articulate safety case arguments clearly through reports, letters, or presentations.
* Leadership Skills
Ability to lead and manage small engineering teams, plan and deliver technical work, foster collaboration, and maintain a positive team culture, especially in an evolving environment.
* Communication and Relationship Building
Strong communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders across functions, including senior leadership, external regulators, customers, and suppliers. Ability to lead discussions and presentations on complex topics.
Qualifications & Training:
Active pursuit of Institute recognition, with a relevant technical degree or HND.
Pay and Benefits:
* Salary: £48,000 - £60,000 plus performance bonus up to 12.5%
