Windows Infrastructure Automation Engineer – Quant Trading
£100,000-160,000 plus benefits and bonus. Hybrid work model.
Quant Capital is urgently seeking a Windows PowerShell Engineer to join our high-profile client.

The client is a well-known quantitative trading firm and market maker. The team comprises some of the best minds in Windows and PowerShell Engineering.
The company operates a mixed Windows and Linux environment across physical and virtual machines. This role is suitable for a talented Windows Engineer with a problem-solving mindset and strong PowerShell programming and automation skills.
Your responsibilities include designing platform engineering solutions, maintaining the firm's operating systems, authentication systems, databases, virtualization infrastructure, core network services, messaging, and endpoints on Windows and Linux in both internal and external environments.
You will be involved in the design, implementation, and integration of infrastructure systems on Windows-based platforms.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Extensive experience in Windows systems automation.
* Proficiency in PowerShell, with some C# exposure preferred.
* Deep understanding of Windows platform technologies such as Active Directory and Failover Clustering, along with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with tracing tools.
* Experience with Windows Server applications and management tools like Exchange, SQL, SCCM, Hyper-V, and ADFS is advantageous.
* Knowledge of network protocols, Linux, and information security concepts.
* Experience integrating systems across on-premises and cloud environments.
* Experience working with containers on Windows and Linux is a plus.
