Are you an experienced logistics professional with a background in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects? We’re seeking a Construction Logistics Area Lead to join a major UK-based nuclear new build programme, playing a vital role in one of Europe’s most complex engineering projects.
About the Role
As a Construction Logistics Area Lead, you will oversee the logistics operations for a designated area of a large nuclear construction site. Working within a high-performing team, you’ll ensure that materials and services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with strict construction schedules and compliance standards.
This is a key leadership role, managing logistics teams (including third-party providers) and driving operational excellence across logistics planning and execution. You’ll be at the forefront of enabling one of the UK’s largest low-carbon energy infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead daily logistics operations across a defined construction area.
* Ensure timely, safe, and compliant delivery of materials to site.
* Collaborate with construction, planning, and supply chain teams.
* Develop, lead, and support a high-performing logistics team.
* Use data-driven reporting and KPIs to drive decision-making.
* Proactively address logistical risks, delays, or supply issues.
* Promote a safety-first, customer-focused, and collaborative culture.
What We're Looking For
* Significant logistics or supply chain leadership experience (5+ years).
* Strong understanding of logistics within complex, regulated construction environments (nuclear, aerospace, infrastructure, etc.).
* Proven ability to manage 3PLs and in-house logistics teams.
* Skilled in stakeholder engagement, risk management, and logistics performance reporting.
* Familiar with tools such as Power BI, MS Project, and logistics planning software.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience (logistics, engineering, or construction disciplines preferred).
* Background in nuclear or other safety-critical industries.
* Logistics-specific qualifications or certifications.
* Experience with enterprise-level delivery and materials management systems.
Why Join Us?
* Be part of a landmark infrastructure project shaping the UK’s clean energy future.
* Work with industry-leading professionals in a culture that values safety, integrity, and innovation.
* Enjoy excellent professional development opportunities and a collaborative, mission-driven environment
