Part Time Payroll Officer
FRS is recruiting a Part Time Payroll Officer for a reputable business based in Tamworth. Ideally, candidates will be able to commit to a 10am to 3pm working arrangement from Monday to Friday.
This role will work alongside the Payroll Manager and be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of a portfolio of clients across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll runs. The suitable candidate will have previous experience working within an Accountancy Practice and be familiar with using Sage and MS Excel.
Key Duties:
1. Preparation and administration of weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, and monthly payrolls.
2. Distribution of online payslips and documentation.
3. Administration of PAYE, National Insurance deductions based on individual allowances.
4. Handling mandatory deductions such as student loans, SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP, court orders, and other legislative responsibilities.
5. Year-end RTI submissions, including final full payment summary (FPS) and production of employee P60 forms.
6. Ensuring all RTI submissions comply with HMRC regulations.
7. Preparation and submission of P11d benefits and expenses returns, including benefits such as cars, health insurance, and accommodation.
8. Dealing with HMRC queries.
9. Setting up auto-enrollment pension schemes.
10. Integrating payroll journal information.
