Job Description
3. Reporting to the Logistics & Warehouse Manager the Material Handler will be responsible for:

5. Understand company objectives and strive to meet or exceed the KPIs and metrics.
6. Maintain Flow of Material to Production ensuring that where appropriate materials are issued in full and on time. Including loading and unloading crates onto machinery where applicable
7. Unloading of crates upon delivery
8. Issue and complete orders in accurate and timely manner and update live booking via SAP
9. Clear Material shortages as soon as materials become available.
10. Timely processing of all goods issues to internal and external customers ensuring 5 S principles and transactions are completed at all times using SAP.
11. Receive and document all goods and services into the company ensuring that transactions are completed correctly and promptly.
12. Pick and transfer between the appropriate warehouses items required to fulfil customer sales orders.
13. Ensure that material returns are transacted accurately and promptly.
14. Ensure that materials are correctly identified and stored.
15. Capture weight data of raw material where applicable
16. Ensure that stock rotation practices are maintained.
17. Ensure that all materials handling equipment is maintained and fit for use
18. Undertake regular stock checks in line with company requirements.
19. Collect or deliver materials to internal staff.
20. Pick, Pack and load goods required for despatch.
21. Ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and accompanies all shipments.
22. File and maintain packing and despatch documentation and records.
23. Undertake regular housekeeping activity - 5 S
The Successful Applicant
A successful Material Handler should have:
24. Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, covering, shipping, goods inward, production movements and repetitive FLT movements.
25. Experience of working with computerised stock management system is essential.
26. Methodical and accurate record keeping.
27. A comprehensive understanding of safety procedures.
28. Meeting tight deadlines
29. Experience of working in a similar environment
30. Proficient in ERP/SAP systems and Excel
31. Experience in adhering to the 5 S Warehouse standards
