My client, a specialist UK-based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Senior Flood Risk Consultant based in London.
It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background, including a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Geography, or Environmental Modelling, and have experience completing flood risk assessments.
It is also beneficial for applicants to have experience in drainage strategies and a keen interest in climate change and nutrient neutrality.
As a Senior Consultant, you will join a specialist flood risk team in London to work on varied projects in residential, retail, industrial, renewable energy, and climate change sectors for public and private clients, including insurance companies.
You will be expected to:
1. Conduct Flood Risk Assessments.
2. Perform Flood Risk Due Diligence for Real Estate.
3. Estimate Flooding using ReFH and Winfap.
4. Analyze Rainfall, Weather, and Wildfire Data.
5. Prepare Hydrology and Environmental Chapters for EIAs.
6. Conduct Nutrient Neutrality Assessments.
7. Implement Property Flood Resilience measures.
8. Develop Drainage Strategies and SAB Applications.
9. Contribute to Bid proposals and tenders.
10. Manage projects effectively.
11. Engage in client meetings to discuss project development.
